Great remix, strikingly pleasant mood change. Though, if I can give my two cents, there’s a bit of off-timing with some of the lyrics with the backbeats/melody (where it goes “New York, quiet down I need to make a sound… etc.” and toward the end with the clean-telephone-filtered “We want bucky done gun… etc.”). I’d rather see some creative cutting to fit the timing.

Here’s a great chilled out mashup of MIA’s (who’s living up to what the acronym typically stands for, of late) “Bucky Done Gun” by GorillaJetpackAttack, a DJ on the Gold Coast. This turned up in Tuneage’s inbox, and I don’t know much else about it or the producer, but he claims to be working on an EP, and if it’s more like this, it might be worth looking out for. — nostrich
